   Of four nights in Miami Beach, we spent two at A Fish Called Avalon because the food was so good and the service was excellent. We had Michael as a waiter both nights and he was great and insightful on the food and our needs.

   Everything was enjoyable. My only complaint is that their menu boasted happy jour priced from 5-7…we were there at 6;00 and should have received a $10 discount on our bill but did not.

   Great food, probably the best seafood in South Beach. Service, especially late at night, is hit or miss. We waited a long time to order our entrees after cocktails and appetizers. But overall, was a good experience. Live music on the weekends was pleasant. Sit outside on the terrace if you can.

   Excellent. We ate on the terrace. Octopus for one app and bang bang shrimp (like you’ve never had) for the other. Twin lobster tails for me and grouper for her. Both were delicious and plated wonderfully. Worth the visit.

   Quintessential South Beach restaurant but not in a noisy, bar packed area. Selected a terrace table and enjoyed live music and people watching during dinner. Meal and service were AMAZING! Enjoyed an espresso martini, crusty Italian bread and olive oil, Caesar salad, sea bass with oyster mushrooms and shrimp dumplings, and for dessert, an incredible apple tart with vanilla gelato swimming in caramel sauce. Server was very attentive but not intrusive and created a wonderful dining experience! Presentation was beautiful and the meal well paced. Would recommend!

   I was told this was a good fresh seafood joint but it wasn’t so fresh on a Sunday evening. Octopus tasted fishy, snapper was fishy. Worst 200$ meal of all time

   We had an amazing time! The food was great. We started with the bang bang shrimp, it had a hint of curry which was perfectly paired with their homemade slaw. Then we shared the Paella which was so delicious 🤤 It was my best friends birthday so the gave us a free Key Lime Pie (Award Winning Key Lime Pie) the crust was perfect. Overall the service and ambiance made a perfect birthday celebration 🥳 10/10

    On vacation and made last minute reservation after reading some reviews. They did not disappoint! Food was amazing, service is above and beyond with food recommendations made that were delicious. Live music played on outside area where we sat added to a great night. Would def recommend both for food and staff. Loved our evening and time there!
