Unfortunate to leave this review as the food was great and the ambiance lovely, but the service was under par. We had a reservation for 5 PM. We were not notified of a time limit on the table beforehand, nor during our time at the location. Around 7, we were approached by a waiter whom stated plainly that the next party was already here. In other terms, we needed to leave. There was no “thank you” or “take your time” in the presentation of this, which I find extremely inconsiderate. This demonstrated lack of personalism, communication and poor planning on their part.

For years, Ace Wasabi has been my favorite sushi spot in San Francisco. The quality and consistency of the sushi, the ambiance, and the staff are all outstanding! One thousand stars!

Our waitress was not friendly, no smile and no reply when I asked for something. It reminds me of the service I used to get in one of those whole on the wall Chinese restaurants. They wouldn’t seat us in opened table because it was reserved for a bigger party. I explained that we would finish before then to no avail. The table was still unoccupied when we left. I don’t know what has happened in this restaurant, they used to have the friendliest personnel.

The sushi at this restaurant is outstanding! The fish is incredibly fresh, and each bite bursts with flavor. The service is also wonderful – attentive, friendly, and quick. Highly recommend for a great sushi experience!
