We are currently offering seating in our bar area, patio, and dining room. The garden area is open on a limited basis and taken on a first come first serve for walk-ins.

Serving dinner and bistro fare, Alchemy Restaurant and Bar offers cuisine transformed. With our Executive Chef, Michael Bryant, we specialize in fresh local ingredients, craft cocktails and boutique wines. We were honored to be named one of the Top 100 Restaurants for Foodies by OpenTable in 2015.

Different venues include our main dining room, seats up to 45, our bar seats 20-30, our parlor seats up to 30, and seasonal patio seating (seats up to 20). We commonly have groups reserve the whole grounds.

    We have dined here before, and while we have always had a great experience, this one topped it all. I had noted on our reservation was an anniversary event, and it started with the hostess wishing us a happy anniversary. The waiter David came promptly and frankly was "overqualified" in a good way with respect to service and courtesy. He too offered a happy anniversary greeting and brought us our drinks. We ordered everything up front, as David assured us he would space it all out for a comfortable experience, which he did. Water was topped off regularly. When he brought my steak, and my lady's fish, he also brought us a complimentary sample of wines which were well paired to our respective meals. Honestly the best dining experience we have ever had- Thank you Alchemy, David, and the staff-

    Really enjoyed the happy hour. We ordered smash burger, truffle fries, salad, and cocktails and everything was delicious. Enjoyed sitting at the bar countertop. Service and ambience was great. We were traveling through town but would stop again next time in Ashland.

    Our hostess was fantastic and made excellent suggests for wine pairings with our meal. The food was superb and the restaurant was very quaint setting in a 1880 hospital.

    I recently dined at Alchemy Restaurant (in the bar) and had a mixed experience. The service was excellent, and the drinks were top-notch. However, the main issue was a newly engaged couple taking professional pictures in the small bar. The flash was incredibly bright and intrusive, and the photographer invaded our personal space. We weren't informed we'd be extras in their photo shoot. The photographer quietly apologized for "being annoying" - their words not mine. They seemed to shrug it off like it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Overall, not the atmosphere I expected for Alchemy. Additionally, having to make reservations so far in advance added to the disappointment.

    We were celebrating our anniversary & wanted a romantic ambiance. This lovely place delivered in spades!!! We began with the grilled octopus which was probably the best we've ever eaten. The enjoyed the bread for 2, which was accompanied by 3 delicious "butter spreads". We ate ever crumb! Hubby was overjoyed with his filet, which was served with the fresh vegetable of the day. I devoured my lamb shank with yummy vegies. Our service was impeccable. It was a perfect dinner experience.
