Two Michelin-starred and New York Times Three-starred Aquavit, located in Midtown Manhattan showcases seasonal, Modern Nordic fare and has been a pioneer of Nordic cuisine since opening in 1987. The restaurant has an extensive wine list as well as an aquavit infusion and cocktail program. The Bar Room offers an a la carte menu for a casual elegant experience. The Dining Room serves a 2 or 3 course prix fixe menu or a 5 course tasting menu for lunch and a 5 course tasting menu or a Chef's tasting menu for dinner. We also offer Private Dining spaces for both social and corporate gatherings.

    Our dining experience and meal at Aquavit was by far the best we had in the city during our week long stay. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive and guided us in making our selections. The onion soup and roasted beet salad for our first course was outstanding as was the Kroppkakor and the cod for our second course. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in NYC.

    Amazing food. Attentive staff. The lunch is a good valie for a 2 Michelin star but I personally don’t enjoy the design of the space much.

    The main restaurant only has a single set price menu that was not of interest, but the bar menu was a la carte. The bar was just like a different dining room. The food and service were wonderful.

    Absolutely deserving of the 2 stars! We had the most amazing anniversary dinner. Of course the bill was hefty, but there are many pricier restaurants out there…

    I've been coming here for years and was disappointed. The menu, although creative, was lacking a wow punch for the price. The dessert was especially disappointing. The price, even for a NY restaurant, was really high for what you got. Probably won't be going back.

    When I first entered Aquavit, everyone gave me a warm welcome. Since I wasn’t very familiar with this kind of restaurant, I needed a bit more time to settle in. Everyone at Aquavit served fresh, delicious food with polite and kind attitudes. The recommended wine paired perfectly with the food I ordered, refreshing all my senses. I’m very much looking forward to visiting again someday.
