B Star is one of our beloved restaurants on Clement street since 2007.

It started simply with the idea of making healthy and delicious comfort food inspired by Thailand, China, Burma, India, Korea, Japan, the Philippines and our home, California.

Join us for a Salmon Ochazuke (Japanese-style comfort dish with popped rice and green tea-dashi broth) for Lunch, a Longanisa Burrito (where else but B Star?!?) for Weekend Brunch and, of course, a Tea Leaf Salad, Kau Soi and a refreshing cocktail for Dinner.

I haven’t been back since the pandemic, and I really miss eating the salmon ochazuke. It was just as good as I remember.

Love everything that comes out of this kitchen. The food is bomb. We made a reservation on open table for 8:15pm and we’re excited to enjoy a nice meal for New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, when we settled in and (finally) met our waitress she was totally detached from us and our inquiries and experience and expressed very little enthusiasm. She took forever to greet us and get going on ordering and then warned us mid order that the kitchen was closing and it was last call. She forgot one of our drinks, and we toasted with water. Because of that we didn’t trust she had remembered our vegan/peanut diners and had to triple check those requests were processed.

The staff is great here! They always have a big smile and are very helpful regarding the menu. The food, of course, is delicious. Can’t go wrong with the Salmon Ochazuke!

11 AM lunch on Monday was a perfect time for B Star. The restaurant was quiet and we had plenty of time to visit and enjoy the food. The food is very good, and the lunch special was a bargain, and almost too much food for one person. We had not been to B Star for several years, but the quality of the food has not diminished.
