   When we walked in, I was impressed by the appearance of the restaurant. The ambiance was nice and also seemed kid-friendly. However, the overall experience was pretty bad. Our server was essentially absent the entire time and we saw the person who brought our food roughly the same amount of times. In addition to being inattentive, she was also not observant when it came to needs or how things were going when she was there. The food was not good in four of the five dishes we had. And there wasn’t even an attempt to touch base when she noticed it. Other than one person, nobody ate more than a couple bites of the food. I’d think she would be aware that this isn’t a sign that things are going well. The food and experience were bad enough that we decided not to get dessert, even though the reviews on dessert were the main reason we chose the restaurant. Disappointing all around and certainly not worth $130+.

   I've been to the Oak Brook location several times, so I recommended this for a business dinner with colleagues. Great food and service. A tad noisy, especially because it was a nice evening and the windows were open, allowing some traffic noise. A minor complaint. We had a great evening.

   Always excellent! This time was even better - great service, fabulous food, fun drinks. Excellent waitress! Our go to brunch place!

   Beatrix is a good place for last minute reservations and food that will please a wide variety of palettes. We got the brussel sprouts, buffalo chicken meatballs, the pistachio crusted whitefish, and the Oh-My-Caramel Pie (can't miss!). Beatrix excels in their sweet stuff for sure. The main courses were all very good, and they had good flavor without being overly spicy. The service was not great-- we waited around 40 minutes for our food, and I felt the waiter could've been more attentive. Ultimately, Beatrix is a middle of the road Lettuce Entertain You restaurant-- not quite a showstopper.

   Shashouka egg breakfast was one of the best things I’ve eaten. I could die happy with that as a last meal. My first visit here, can’t wait to work through the menu. Service and drinks were great. Also, the egg and breakfast sandwich was, chefs kiss 🤌🏾

   Great service! Our food came out so fast it surprised us and it was all very fresh. The flavor balance was great for both our meals (lemon pancakes and vanilla yogurt), though we were left a little hungry which was fixed by getting a great pastry for the road. Very cute place for a breakfast or brunch.

    We were a big group of 10 and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. The popular entrees were the mushroom teriyaki bowl, mushroom and lentil burger and chicken Bebe. Ambiance was lovely. Our server was good but it was strange that she had us pass drinks down the table when serving them instead of walking around. Other than that, the food order was correct, even with small modifications. We had a wonderful experience and would absolutely go back.
