   Food is always amazing that’s why me and my family choose to celebrate special occasions here. The thing that was upsetting is I made a reservation for 7pm and was not seated until 810. I believe the restaurant needs to get a handle on this because what is the point on having reservations if we won’t be seated an hour later?

   Waited an hour and 25 minutes past our reservation for the table. Was not warned they were running behind. When we complained at the hour mark, the host did not apologize. She just said,”that’s normal. People have waited much longer.” Waited another hour after being seated for chef to arrive. Orders were mixed up. Chef had to go back to kitchen four times. The check was wrong. There was not a single process that worked as planned. Except for host, everyone was nice about it. Everyone was working hard. I don’t blame the staff. It was clearly poor management and poor training.

   Our party of 3 all ordered the Emperor's Feast (filet mignon and chicken). The filet was overcooked - we all ordered medium. The chef realized at the end of the meal he had not prepared the onion "volcano" so decided to insert at the end of the meal. One party of 4 had 3 people gone to the restroom. After, we were waiting for the server to return and take our dessert order and to sing Happy Birthday (there were 3 people celebrating birthdays). This did not occur so we waited for our checks. After 20 minutes, one person got up to see what happened to our server. Finally a manager came and said the server had a family emergency and had left. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert or anything else. Returned a few minutes later with all the checks. We had to box up our own leftovers and look around to find a bag. We came to Benihana because a relative specifically asked to go there for his birthday. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

   The odor in the hibachi area smelled offensive like an old dirty kitchen. I am sure it was the carpet.

   Took about 25-30 minutes for us to get a chef while seated at the table. But other than that, it went well.

   William cooked very well and paid attention to each customers request perfectly. However service was extremely slow. It may not be the waitress's fault but the appetizers and drinks took almost an hour to arrive after we ordered. When it was time to pay, we used the Benihana gift certificates to redeem and the Manager took another 30 minutes to adjust the bill. Why does it take so long for the Manager to redeem and adjust the check????? Do not come here to see effective and streamlined service. At least the food was prepared well.

   Arrived at 5:45 for a 6pm and did not get seated until 7pm. Cook started at 8:30, food was good. Then waited over 30 minutes to pay the bill. Was not a good overall experience from the service side.
