Bistro Don Giovanni offers a warm and inviting experience with all the personality of a Mediterranean hideaway. Chef Scott Warner's rustic fare incorporates local fruits, vegetables, meat and fowl into traditional, fresh Italian dishes with her signature, creative flair. Freshly baked breads, local olive oil, beautiful salads, tasty appetizers and homemade pastas are inspired by the bounty of Napa Valley. Main courses offer an array of regionally sourced and highest quality creations of chicken, steaks and seafood. The bar features hundreds of Napa Valley and Italian wines as well as a host of signature cocktails.

    We have gone to BDG many times over the years. We have always been impressed in the past. This visit was a major disappointment for me and my family. Several of us felt our entrees were sub par. My pork chop was sloppily plated and tasteless. The risotto was not fully cooked and the lamb shank sauce thin and watery. Our waiter seemed too busy to care for our party. He never offered to pour our wine and seemed more interested in an adjoining tables needs. In short, we are in disbelief of what has happened to one of our favorite restaurants. By the way, we are locals.

    I had heard great things about this restaurant and I think if a few things had been different, my experience would have dramatically improved. First, we were sat in a very loud part of the restaurant with music blaring overhead. So loud that I couldn’t hear my husband speaking. Second, our waiter seemed too busy for us and wanted to hurry us through dinner. The restaurant knew it was our 30th wedding anniversary because the waiter who brought our dessert, different than the regular waiter, said happy anniversary. That was more disappointing than if they had not known since it felt like they knew but didn’t care. The wine was delicious and my husband enjoyed it his entree but if I had to do it over, I would have either chosen another restaurant or at least asked to be sat in a different section.
