Bistro du Midi's cuisine features French Cuisine inspired by Coastal New England influences. Our wine list represents the true soul of a bistro wine list. In a classic French bistro, wine is very much a part of every meal. As such, we offer a variety of experiences and wines at a tremendous value in a range of prices. Our elegant yet relaxed environment overlooks Boston's beautiful Public Garden with a spectacular view. A street level Bistro features floor-to-ceiling windows, and in the spring and summer our patio provides some of the most optimal al fresco dining in the city.

    Happy Mother's Day! In celebration of Spring and Mother's Day, Bistro du Midi will be offering a three-course prix fixe brunch menu at $90 per person. Additional raw bar & beverage features will also be available. Reservations will be accommodated in both our downstairs Bistro and our upstairs main dining room. Our two bars will be available on a walk-in basis offering a special a la carte brunch menu. Please note that our regular brunch menu will not be available. Dinner service will remain our regular menu offerings. We look forward to celebrating with you!

    We decided to try it out for Dine Out Boston and were floored by how good our experience was. Every course we got seemed better than the one before and the service was outstanding. We will most definitely be back!

    We had the dine out Boston prix fixe. Its pretty good value for $55 at a place like this. Their cooking is clearly solid and the food was good, but not amazing. There were small slips in food and service. The steak dish was not as hot as I would have liked, it had clearly been left to sit too long, and we had to wait for the wine to arrive after getting our starter. They also accidentally billed us for an extra bottle of water (which they removed). The whole impression was of a good restaurant but one which was phoning it in a bit on the dine out Boston menu.

    Our server only dropped our food and didn’t check on us in between. I had one drink all night due to this. Very unfortunate….

    Excellent food specially the madeleines for dessert. Great wait staff and host in the upstairs dining room. The only sour note was the unfriendly host at the downstairs entrance who told us it would be a long wait for a table in the dining room. When we went upstairs to the dining room, we were seated immediately. So strange.

    Terrible. Food came after many tables that arrived after us. No bread provided. French onion soup arrived cold as did fries. Soda was not refilled until I asked. Plates cleared prematurely. Loud and table was awkwardly squeezed in dining room as though extra tables were inserted to maximize spaces

    As a sommelier and someone who has been in the hospitality industry for 20 years, I must say I had a phenomenal dinner. Our waiter Roland was so attentive, professional, and quite a charmer. He smiled and even asked our names. I was so taken aback but comfortable with his friendly approach. He constantly watched if anything was needed and my husband’s shellfish discard bowl was changed 3 times with no asking of that sort as he had the bouillabaisse… one of the most fantastic we’ve ever seen! When we first walked in, we were greeted by a male host, so friendly. He offered to check anything we had and we simply checked my umbrella, but as he checked our reservation, he exclaimed “oh Happy Birthday!” That was amazing just to acknowledge that with checking my umbrella! Wow. My dinner experience was so amazing. For appetizers we had the venison tartare, French onion soup, and oysters… all so amazingly fresh… the oysters especially. FRESH! My strip steak, I’ve never had one that melted in my mouth. I’ve never seen one cut that thick, and saw the reason why. A big strip of tough fat held the searing together and as I cut that tough fat off, each bite was a medley of flavors with the wine picked. MJ, the sommelier, is fantastic. I noticed her walking around constantly and elegantly floating across the dining room assuring everyone’s experience. We talked much about wine and she definitely knows her pairings… she’s above me in my education! I would definitely recommend the upstairs area for a special occasion, but also just recommend period for the wonderful cuisine and fantastic wine list! I will definitely be coming back! And I will definitely be recommending Bistro du Midi to friends! Thank you again for a wonderful birthday celebration! Chris Rivera

    Food in this place is amazing, we started with the Wagyu Beef tartare👌🏽 amazinggg, then for our main Ricotta & Swiss Chard Tortellini and Pan Seared Scallops, I cannot decide which one was better, both were outstanding. For dessert I highly recommend the mango tiramisú, we did also the Baked Chocolate Ganache, but the chocolate is super dark ( if you are a fan you will enjoy it). Thank you Walter for making our night, an amazing experience.
