   The kitchen was backed up so very slow in receiving our orders. But we were not in a rush so it was not a problem. Nicole our server was very busy she had a lot of tables. She was great.

   To be fair to Black angus Steakhouse I’m comparing it to other chain steakhouses in my mind. Pros : The service was good I made reservations and only had to wait a few minutes to get my table. The servers were attentive, nice, and had a great balance of leaving you alone to attentiveness ratio. Over above average service. The ambience was good there’s a bar and T.Vs it feels like they are going for more of a family/ classy vibe it works well but it’s not going to wow you for a chain restaurant it’s average. It’s good Cons: The food. I ordered the steak and sea salad and baked potato . My girlfriend got a Ribeye mashed potato and soup. We had a crab cake as an appetizer. We both ordered medium rare steaks. I received a medium well leaning more to well done. Hers was mediumish. Long story short they weren’t good cuts of meat. I felt like I should have cooked at home. My girlfriend had to spit out a piece because it was too fatty. I was grudgingly eating my leather steak lol. The sides were decent nothing to write home about. Oh the lobster was decent. Value: paid 132 with tip and I didn’t really enjoy my food. I’m sure they would have cooked another steak if I would have complained but it wasn’t that deep. I’m just not going back.

   Our server Sierra was great we had the New York tender med rare the app the salad and dessert was great , thank you ! Oh and the bartender was super friendly and very helpful! 1/2 wine of the month , overall great service and great value!

   I called ahead (talked to Sophia, asst. manager) to see if their Guinness was working or still out of order (I usually have one Guinness with my meal), I was looking forward to a Guinness after a long hard day working. Sophia said they did have Guinness and yes it was working. I made a reservation and was looking so forward to a great meal and beer. When I arrived for my 5:30 reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated (that same manager had a line of people out the door waiting to be seated). We saw our favorite server (Ciara) and she asked us “why are you guys waiting? You have an appt. and I have three tables open”. Another employee said she had to keep prompting that asst. manager to keep the customers going and seated as quickly as possible (there was probably 20 people inside waiting to be seated). I frequent the black angus in San Lorenzo 2-3 times a week and this is the first time we had to wait to be seated with a reservation. Telling me that their was a full operating keg of Guinness (the only beer I drink is Guinness) and then having to wait for our table for 15 minutes when there was three tables available in Ciara’s area just made our dining experience less than favorable. An acting manager told the asst. “if you told them there was Guinness available, then you need to go talk to them, even if you just go to say hello”. Out of the dozens of times we have come here this year, this is the first time we have had a negative experience. Our server (Ciara), did a great job directing our negative experience into a positive one. Ciara should get a raise, because she really takes care of her customers and we don’t even have to tell her how we want our meat cooked and what sides we want (she remembers from previous encounters). She is that bubbly, energetic, kind, customer friendly server. Chris is the manager (he was off on Sunday) and he is the kind of manager who is hands on, he seats people, brings out food, goes around to each table to visit.

   We had a great meal, with great service. We visit this location 2-3 times a week and have had excellent service and food for the past three years. Good job, San Lorenzo black angus!

    The service was so poor the bartender had to help. My friend was finished with her food before I got my burger. When I asked what took so long she started to argue with me. I should have received my meal for free.
