   First time visiting. We were searching for a place for brunch and came across Blackshop Rest. Which had great reviews. So we gave it a try and we were very impressed. They offer small plate unlimited brunch items with each item being prepared individually. Quality and variety was outstanding. The traditional buffet style brunches can compete with the not so small plate quality. We’ve been to other small plates brunches and the small plates are so small you need to order too many to make a meal. Here the servings are large enough that you get to enjoy what was prepared in more than 2 bites, so yes you want variety but you don’t want to be constantly ordering to have food in front of you. Between the pastry tower and ordering about 5 -6 plates each had you quite full. The croquettes are amazing as was the smoked salmon, best cold smoke salmon I’ve had in a long time. Atmosphere and service was fantastic, don’t get put off by it being located next to Travel Lodge, this is a semi up scale restaurant, but very relaxed and comfortable. They just started this unlimited brunch 4 to 5 weeks ago, and not too many people know about it, so I’m telling you to go and enjoy. We’ll be back for brunch and want to try for dinner. Thank you Chef Ace for a great brunch, my mom was impressed.

   Blackshop has always been a stable for Lunch or dinner. Great place for meetings etc.

   We had the valentine menu, and really enjoyed it. The menu was innovative and elevated and we really appreciated the experience. Great service and ambiance topped it off. All around winner, can’t wait to go back
