   We had a great time at The Boat House!The place was peaceful, clean, and had beautiful views. The food was good and freshly prepared. Staff were friendly and helpful. A relaxing getaway-highly recommended.

   We made a reservation with specific seating requests and even called a couple of days in advance to confirm.. but when we arrived, nothing was prepared as discussed. All seven of us were left standing awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant while multiple staff members circled around saying they’d “see what they could do.” We should have at least been brought back to the front to wait. Service throughout the evening was equally disappointing. We were there for 2.5 hours and not once were our drinks refilled, even after asking. Our main courses arrived while we were no where near finished eating appetizers, and empty dishes were never cleared, leaving us with very little space throughout the meal. To top it off, the desserts were burnt. For what was meant to be a special occasion, the experience fell far short of expectations.

   Unfortunately experience wasn't good for such an special occasion like mothers day. We had a reservation. Hostess was rude , dismissive and seemed so annoyed to be there "greeting "people. Food was definitely not up to part with a 70$ set menu! Got a steak and prawns. What I got was definitely not steak just a peace of beef. My husband asked for a regular menu item and waiter was very rude saying no regular items were available only set menu ones. Table in front of us ended up leaving the restaurant 10 min after they sat down. Overall bad and underwhelming experience for such a expensive restaurant in such important date anemd event.

   This is a tough one as there was a lot that was good, but equally a lot that was bad. Our ultimate server, Lucas, was excellent but he was only identified as our server 20 mins after being sat. No one even asked to bring us glasses of water until 20 minutes into our sitting. It was Mother's Day and it was busy but there seemed to be a lot of confusion amongst the staff. The hostess gave us incorrect parking lot information for parking by app resulting in a $96 ticket despite having paid for parking for the full time we were there. Then worse management did not own up to the fact that it was them that provided the incorrect info. And pointed us to go to nearby hotel, which offered no help. We weren't served coffee or teas until about 45 mins into our sitting as they ran out of coffee cups. We didn't get served our fruit and pastry plates until the end of our sitting (was supposed to arrive at the beginning). The setting is beautiful and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. The food is generally good. A $340 bill for 6 for brunch with tip is okay but the overall service needs to be better. We totally recognize it's a busy time, but bottom line is improvements are needed.

   It took 20 minutes just to get coffee and water. We didn’t get any cutlery until we asked for it after we were served our food. There was a piece of plastic in my eggs and we didn’t get refills on our drinks. I Would never recommend this restaurant.

   Food came out very slow. Waited almost 40min for just appetizer. Then main meal came and one of the orders was wrong. Didn’t bother sending back because would have waited again m. Will never go back again

   NOISY & 'RAW'! Three of us went for brunch to catch-up after separate extended vacations. Our server "Lindsay"? was lovely and very attentive. I had the eggs/avocado toast...very good! The other two people had omelets which came with roasted baby potatoes...which were hard as a rock (undercooked). Lindsay was apologetic and brought small fruit dishes as a substitute. Unfortunately a group of four VERY noisy folks were seated at the table next to us, and ruined the second half of our visit. Obviously no-one could anticipate their rudeness, but we wondered why they couldn't have been seated with one table in between us. Apparently that would have meant them being in a section which 'belonged' to another server...but maybe in future, if there are empty tables, the hostess could keep one table between groups of diners. The view of the Quay is lovely, (most of) the food was good, and service was very nice. We just won't be rushing back.

    Server was trying… not sure if they just gave her tooo many tables? My Luke warm lobster bisque arrived before our drinks, we waited forever for glassware for water because hey we’re cleaning it, we at least had our drinks. Alll in all nothing horrible but for what we paid and what we got, not worth it. Never been wow’d there but the location is so nice decided to try it again but it seems to always be the same. Just meh and for the price, not worth it. Sadly. Boathouse used to be so great years (like 20) ago
