   Delicious food at Bridgee. We had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer, and then shared a Butcher’s Block Pizza. Ended the meal with the Creme Brûlée and Blondie Brownie.

   The food was very good and the server very attentive, prices a little steep but the thing is going on a Sunday for lunch seems to be a family time. We moved to the bar area as there were a lot of families with little children and the noise level was too high. Also the tables were too close together for the noise level and chairs were hard metal. The bar area with wood seats was quieter and more comfortable.

   We sat outdoors under a covered area which also had heaters. Our two dogs were able to sit with us and the server brought them a water bowl. The food and drinks were very tasty, the halibut and churros were especially good.

   Always a winner! Now with a four-course prix fixe on Mondays and Tuesday. The crabcake is still one of the best around and there was no skimping on portions on this prix fixe menu. I could not even begin to finish dessert. And we made it in time to enjoy the gorgeous view of one of the best sunsets of the month!

   Wife enjoyed her entree, oysters were ok, crab soup was good, Moscow Mules were weak and tasteless, paella had no sausage, very little rice and subpar in flavor. Liked the view but the porch area was chilly and the metal chairs and table were uncomfortable and cold to the touch as well as visually. Would recommend linen and cushions. Wished we had sat inside for the warmth. Waiter not once asked us if we would have wanted another drink nor did he recognize our anniversary. Pretty blah evening altogether. The locals probably love it. Won’t be returning nor recommending it. A long drive for a disappointing dinner.

    Our waiter, Jr., was excellent. Calamari did not impress at all but the crab cake was good. The filet mignon was good but could have used more flavor. The ribeye was completely subpar, lacking any flavor beyond chargrill, and the plating was just ridiculous. Why put asparagus on top of mashed potatoes, then plop the steak on top of that? I’m not OCD about food touching but that sure made me feel like it. The thing that saved the dining experience was the dessert and after dinner drinks. Tennessee Whiskey Cake was sublime and the Butterscotch White Russian paired perfectly. All in all, we had a good time. But a nearly $300 bill should have yielded zero disappointment. Maybe we’ll just settle for dessert next time.
