   We ordered the ahi tuna and a 6 ounce filet with the grilled shrimp. The 6 ounce filet more resembled a ground chuck steak than a filet. It was not quite 1/2" thick, dry and over cooked. We ordered medium rare and there barely was any pink. The twice baked potato was the highlight of that entree. We also did not receive any bread or rolls. The ahi tuna was good, but the Yukon Gold mashed potatoes seemed stale. It was late on Sunday evening, so perhaps they were made earlier in the day and solidified over time. The total cost of our dinner including a glass of wine for each of us, a bowl of bisque and a side salad was nearly $200 with tip. That is a rather steep price for the quality of food we received. Our server was excellent. He was attentive and our food did arrive quickly.

   Restaurant is beautiful. Our server was nice enough but could have been slightly more attentive. As far as our dinner, the Caesar salad and lobster bisque soup were very good. Sadly that’s where the good part ended.. We both had the New York strip steak.. I ordered mine medium, and it came out rare. My husband ordered medium well and it came out well done. We also had their signature side dish, lobster mac & cheese at a six dollar surcharge and it was lukewarm at best and had no taste. We both had twice baked potato that was smothered with way too much cheese and very little potato. My husband‘s other side dish was asparagus, and it was burnt. The steaks were also lukewarm at best and desperately needed to be seasoned. For dessert, my husband had the chocolate cake which was OK and I had the carrot cake which was a little dry. I’ve had better carrot cake from less expensive restaurants.. overall it’s a beautiful restaurant, but the food was disappointing, especially since it cost nearly $200 for both of us with the tip. We have always heard good things about Bristol’s, which is why we tried it but sadly, we were disappointed. Perhaps it was just an off night!

   Food was fantastic as always. The only thing we weren’t so pleased with was when we made our reservations we said it was our anniversary so they presented us with a card saying it was for a complementary glass of champagne. They brought two glasses however there were 4 of us. If we knew that we wouldn’t have accepted it. We felt kind of awkward. I think they need to rethink their approach.

   Food and food service were amazing! My only complaint was the reservation was for 6 people, and the table was set for 5. We had to tell two different people to get the extra place setting.

   They did NOT crowd in extra tables for Valentine’s Day. Food and service great, but to improve the experience they might have dimmed the lights a bit.

    We had a small private room - it was so nice! And Calvin our server was awesome. He was knowledgeable, funny, and laid back.
