Cafe Cariccio, the region's only authentic Tuscan restaurant, has been a favorite dining destination in Albany for 30 years. The Cafe was voted Best Restaurant in the Capital District by Metroland Magazine for 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, and many times previously. Jim Rua and Franco Rua are proprietors.     The Cafe has a wonderful private dining rooms for private events. Our Chef's Table, located on the second floor above the main restauant, can hold parties of 10-17 and is an intimate open kitchen concept room where the chef cooks in front of your guests. The room also features a private entrance and private bathrooms just for this room. Our private room has wireless internet, screens and private staff. Our rooms regularly host business events and speaker presentations as well as family event, birthdays, anniversaries as well as couples dinners with friends.

    The food was exceptional! Antipasto, Shrimp Pasta, Chicken Franchise,Pistachio cake all freshly prepared with in house tagliatelle could not have been better! Our palates looking forward to our next visit!

    Dan is THE BEST waiter on the planet. The food was outstanding, as always, and we were accommodated easily for all of our food allergies in our small party of 6. We LOVE Cafe Capriccio....it has become our family go to place for all occasions.

    Everything was great as usual. FYI The bar is noisier than the dining room, so if you want a quiet setting choose the dining room.this is one of our favorite places, very good food, ambiance and the Wait staff could not be better.

    The food was wonderful…we always love Cafe Capriccio. My only complaint is that we were served way quickly. We ordered cocktails, appetizers, dinner, dessert and coffee and were out the door within an hour. We traveled longer to get to Cafe Capriccio than it took us to dine. Our Saturday date night …too rushed.

    A top-notch overall experience! Would easily recommend and return next time in the city. Despite a busy night, there was a flow and rhythm to both the service and the excellently prepared and presented food. We had each of the specials and a standard and all were paired with complimentary accents that worked perfectly. There is real craft here. Excellent house baked breads and the desserts were true icing on the cake! Staff works very well together. We walked out so happy to have been there.

    Haven’t been in a few years and was another enjoyable dining experience. The duck, so tender and homemade wild mushroom ravioli’s were just delicious. Thank you!
