I was introduced to Cafe Capriccio over 25 years ago and have been eating there every year since and whenever I’m in town. Food always good and always fresh and hot. Very friendly and sociable staff and an overall nice atmosphere and experience.

Dinner at Capriccio was spectacular as always. Sophia and the rest of the servers were wonderful. Our table shared the meatballs, the octopus and the artichoke hearts for appetizers - all delicious. I had the Sorrento chicken and it was excellent. Every time my wife and I are in Albany we try to have dinner here. Worth the trip.

Food and services was outstanding. Pasta Steak was delicious and the Peanut Butter and Oreo cheesecake is something I will be getting every time I go. No wait we had reservations at 7pm on a Friday and they took us right in as soon as we arrived at 6:45pm.

This was our first time here and the worst experience at a restaurant that we have ever had. I expected it to be a cozy type Italian restaurant. While it was charming looking from the street, it was a mess of a hodge podge inside. We were sat in the side room and heard all the unfortunate sounds from the kitchen the entire time we dined. Tons of vulgarity and random bouts of singing and belching. We ordered wine- I’m not even sure what I was served was Barolo (as I ordered). It was very warm and not at the correct red wine temp, and didn’t taste like a fresh bottle. I’m not sure how long it was sitting there opened prior to ordering it. Ordered burrata- it was no joke and entire container of dry arugula with one piece of cheese in the center and two halved tomatoes. That was the presentation. Bread was cold. Cheese was sitting uncovered on the table when we were seated in an open saucer bowl. The place had a foul odor- we couldn’t put our finger on it but it smelled like dirty carpet or just old unclean stuff. The music choice was extremely off- very strange new wave disco. I cannot make this stuff up. It was wrong from beginning to end. The server twice came to our table with drinks with a bar straw hanging from his mouth like a toothpick. We couldn’t even eat the dinner and sent most of it back. Duck was really bad- especially the sausage side which looked like it was boiled and tossed on the plate as an afterthought. We were really looking forward to a nice night out, and we were truly disappointed. The reviews here are very misleading. We have dined all over the world and tri state and know the type of restaurant that this is and the vibe that it could have had and been good. Unfortunately the only thing that was ok was the espresso. Sambuca was served in a champagne flute.. come on guys. Who is managing this place?

Had reservations canceled last minute and were lucky enough to get in. I've read some of these reviews, and to be honest, it's alarming how many people should just stay home and order taco bell. The place is charming old world Italian, excellent t wine selection, great drinks. I couldn't decide and had a simple neopolitan. It was the best I ever had. My son had a ribeye that was delicious. The noise level is perfect, the service is professional and excellent. I don't know where some of these people ate, but it wasn't here
