   We’ve been coming to Palm Desert for years but this was our first experience at Cafe Des Beaux-Arts. I can easily promise it will NOT be the last for sure. I am so glad we chose to treat our host family here as they were impressed as well. The liver and onions, escargot and veal were truly perfection. A special thanks to Daisy who made the evening even more enjoyable with her excellent service. Can’t wait to return!

   Great location. We were greeted well by what appeared to be the Mgr. and shown to a nice quiet table. The food was really good - escargots, the bouillabaisse and their daily special that evening (salmon and Chilean sea bass) was especially tasty. The simple crepe (banana Nutella) was a good finish. Alcoholic options were good. The issue - service. The restaurant was quiet and the staff wasn’t visible or too busy talking to regulars or among themselves. At one point we flagged the server who, while yapping nonstop with what looked like friends at the bar snapped “I see you”. Later, the hostess ended up bringing the tab since the server disappeared. Too bad. It ruined an otherwise nice evening.

   Whenever we come out to this area we always make it a point to come here as it never disappoints. The food and service are always great as is the ambiance.

   It’s always consistently good ! Jose our waiter was fantastic, made some great recommendations , and made the experience even better. We eat here every time we visit Palm Desert!

   Bill is the manager and always greats us with a smile. We eat here each time we come to Palm Desert and that's twice a year. Our waitress, Daisy, was very pleasant and the over service excellent. The food is very good and reasonably priced.

   Service, food, and ambience were all excellent. Do NOT miss the Salade de Beaux Arts. Wow. The Gratin de Coquilles St. Jacques is a transcendental experience. Even had a good pour at the bar! Upon an advance request, the management provided a beautiful booth that really enhanced the evening. CBA was already a favorite I had visited many times for brunch and lunch - dinner was even better than past meals. Heading back with my wife in a couple of weeks!

   Although the Cafe initially had the feel of a Parisian bistrot, that is where our memory of Paris ended. The first issue was with the wine list. It is not particularly notable as many of the names offered are readily available at any market. When the first class my wife ordered tasted corked, it took forever to find our waiter to order a bottle. My wife started with escargot and I a cup of the French onion soup. The escargot was overly garlic tasting and the garlic was bitter. The onion soup broth was tasty but there were little onions and the cheese was much too thick and partially burnt on top. Our entrees, linguini with clams for her and the beef stroganoff for me, we again a bit overly garlicy tasting for our liking, but good nonetheless. I enjoyed the pickled asparagus in the stroganoff and the beef was tender. My wife commented that the clams were the largest she'd ever seen. Despite not being overwhelmed, the meal did end on a great note. The bread pudding was absolutely wonderful. We are not snow birds, so we visit El Paseo frequently but this was our first time at Cafe Des Beaux-Arts. We will try it again in the future, perhaps a happy hour first before diving in again. I figure it must be better than what we experienced as it does a great business during the season.
