Café Mercato, located in Denver, is a modern Italian restaurant, owned and operated by Giancarlo Macchiarella of Locanda del Borgo

Mercato’s light and airy atmosphere and design permeates throughout the modern space. With a large open kitchen and large wine “library”, you will feel right at home sipping on a glass of select wine while watching the chefs create your meal.

The menu at Café Mercato is based on Southern Italian fare with a lighter approach. All of the pastas and sausages are made in-house, as well as gelato and desserts. Enjoy homemade pizza from our over imported from Italy and other selections from our wood-fire grill. Come visit us with your family and friends for our “family-style” specials, happy hour, Bon appétit!

    Horrible. 20 minutes for a drink order. Subpar food 50 minutes to get. Never checked on once. Great location. However, I would avoid at all cost

    Good food. Horrible service. We waited 15 minutes for wine after we placed our order. We received 2 wine lists and only one menu. The appetizer came out at same time as the entree.

    For some reason, service was very slow. Not sure if it was low staff or new personnel or preference to door dash meals. Not the usual experience in service that I have seen before from the restaurant. It was not an unusually busy night. Drinks were slow, Clean-up from table was slow, Attentionm to detail was lacking.

    Normally this place is great. Tonight was a horrible mistake on their part. We sat ignored for over 30 minutes and had to solicit someone to take our order. We were largely ignored for the remainder of the evening. The manager did nothing to ameliorate our experience and the food was salty. It’ll be a long time before I return to this place, if at all

    We ordered drinks. They never came. Then we tried to order apps and mentioned we hadn’t gotten our drinks and the guy mumbled about how it was the bartenders fault… then we didn’t get our apps either. We had a show to get to so after AN HOUR of terrible service, and no food or drinks, we left. This was the first time I’ve experienced this level of awful service. I’d give zero stars if I could.

    Cafe Mercato is our go to local Italian restaurant. We are always welcomed with a smile. Food is great every time. Full bar and great wine selection.

    Best chicken marsala dish of any restaurant! Perfectly seasoned and cooked with a delicious sauce; also had excellent sides with it--broccolini and roasted potatoes. Pizza was excellent as well. 2nd time here and will definitely be back!
