Two of us dined at the Cafe Normandie to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was excellent. We started with the Baked Brie with Honey and Toasted Almonds, which was the perfect portion size for an entrée (French use of the word) in a French restaurant. Drinks were good, and made correctly. We had their signature pear martini and their signature old fashioned. For le plat principal we chose the chef's signature, Chateaubriand for two,. It was more than enough for the two of us, and much more than you'd get in a restaurant in Paris, and we ended up taking a good portion of it home with us. The steak itself was very tender, and though they provided a steak knife it was easily cut with a butter knife or just a fork. The grilled vegetables included mushrooms, yellow squash, zucchini, asparagus, grape tomatoes, and new potatoes, all of which were cooked to perfection. And for desert we had the signature Crepe Normandie, which was also very large and more than enough for two. Our check was reasonable for the menus selections we made, and overall I think the prices are just right for the quality of the cuisine and amount served. It was a little loud with all of the patrons talking at their tables, but not overly noisy. Service was a bit off. Our server was mostly hard to find, and we had to flag her down when we needed something (like to have our drinks refilled or to get cutlery). I think they may have been understaffed for a Saturday night so I couldn't fault her. Overall, I recommend Cafe Normandie to either locals or visitors. The cuisine was appropriately French, though they have a handful of Annapolis staples like crab cakes.

Fire feature wasn’t on which really detracts from the ambiance. Service was very good. Appetizer of warm Brie with honey and almonds was excellent however the House Salad was easily the worst I’ve had in a recent memory so don’t waste your money on it. Very disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber and price point. Main entrees were very good so that was most important thing.

A wonderful French restaurant nestled in the heart of Main Street in Annapolis. The grilled calamari appetizer was wonderful, and the Trout Almondine was also excellent. The Profiteroles for desert were absolutely to die for.

The food was very good but there were not enough servers working, so we needed to wait a long time to be served. Nevertheless , the servers tried hard and were very pleasant.

Premises could use a good bit of refurbishing. Almost looks shabby but food makes up for it. Very nice menu nicely cooked and served. Busy night and service is nice but a little slow. Have been there several times and likely will again. Would for sure if it would be spruced up.

We always enjoy dining at Cafe Normandie. The food is consistently very good. The servers are always delightful. Sometimes the meal comes out slowly, but it's worth the wait. And it's a French Cafe, so who's in a hurry. Oh, and the baguettes are the best.

The food was great as always! I am sad that the buttery Chardonnay I’ve previously enjoyed is no longer on the menu. Our waitress was adorable but absent. It took about 20 minutes before we received menus. We wanted to order a second round of drinks but the waitress didn’t show up until we were tired of waiting and had decided to leave. We asked for the check and told her we needed it quickly as we had theater tickets. She dropped of check and never came back. I took check to the hostess to pay. Unacceptable service.
