A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt. Joe lives in Park Ridge, a few short miles from the restaurants, so expet to see him in both restaurants assuring a quality experience for his customers. On days off, Joe can be found at home with his wife, Mary Kay and their 3 boys. Reservations by phone: 773-775-0909. The only reservation restrictions are on Friday and Saturday, parties of five or more only. Café Touché is located at 6731 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago (Edison Park), I

We come here regularly as it is the most consistent and delicious restaurant we have found in the area. Never ever had a bad meal! Great service! Priced like other fine dining restaurants and worth it!

Went to Cafe Touché on a friend’s recommendation. Really glad we did. I have probably hit every French restaurant in the northern Chicago land area in search of the perfect place. There a few I like, but there was always something lacking from the menu or of just average presentation from l what I wanted. That changed last night with the first of many to come visits to cafe touché. Every classic French dish you could want with very generous portions and a really cool atmosphere. The place was packed, which is always a good sign, and the service was excellent. The drinks generous as well. I only wish i discovered it long ago, but better late than never. Already excited to return. Well done!!

Second time here and was as good as first. Many traditional French inspired dishes decent prices, beautiful space. Highly recommended only challenge is a bit loud and tables very close together but that adds to the French feel....overall 5 stars it won't disappoint

25 minute wait despite having a reservation was not great, but food and service were!

Always loved this place, new menu and food not so great. I wonder if it’s been sold. Very very noisy.

Absolutely delicious. We had eggs Benedict and the French dip special. Both were unbelievable! Great service too!

Cute space with a lot of seating for one server. The server was sweet as pie but was just overwhelmed. She didn’t have time to round enough to check on what was needed. This was a bit frustrating. The onion soup was very bland and oily and the mimosa was underwhelming, as the pineapple juice was a nectar and not juice. I was excited to see Bellinis on the menu, only to learn it was a peach schnapps and not juice. Pretty simple drinks that you don’t want to mess up. Outside of the onion soup, the appetizers, burger and pasta were great. The desserts were pretty amazing also. Great place to grab a bite to eat and catch up with an old pal.
