Café Zola is an independently owned and operated restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in downtown Ann Arbor. Our menus are inspired by flavors and recipes borrowed from European and Mediterranean cultures and cuisine, including some Turkish recipes. We are committed to sourcing the freshest and highest quality ingredients available and supporting local businesses, farms, and suppliers. Café Zola’s seasonal menus emphasize organic and local produce, dairy, eggs, poultry, meat and seafood. Our full service bar features artisanal cocktails, happy hour specials, and a rotating wine selection chosen from various small production vineyards throughout the world.

    Seated pretty quickly; service was a little slow; menu had nice variety; calamari appetizer was skimpy, but delicious; entrees were spaghetti and meatball (1), lamb chops, and a salad - all tasty; desserts were Nutella crepe and a bread pudding - both delicious!

    This restaurant is a wonderful place to have lunch/dinner with friends. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We loved the variety of drinks that were available. Take time to enjoy this restaurant in Ann Arbor.

    Whenever we’re in Ann Arbor for a football game, we try and get reservations here. Their whole fish is amazing, as is their antipasta board. it was very busy, but did not feel rushed. Great restaurant with a great wine list.

    Service was slow. The owner seemed to be causing more problems than solving them. The prices were incredibly high for the quality of the food.

    Cooks refused to prepare eggs differently (they have multiple times in past). So weird. So so weird.

    We had a reservation for brunch and were seated. It was crowded but it took almost 20 mins just to receive water and then finally someone noticed we needed to have a server. The food was aesthetically nice, but the French toast was not as sweet as my friend expected. My dish came much later than everyone else’s and all I ordered was the smoked salmon crepe. It should not have taken longer than the burger my friend ordered. I was disappointed in our overall experience, based on past experiences. It has not lived up to its reputation and I would most likely not take a group there again.

    It’s hard to rate food you never got to taste. We walked out after no one acknowledged our existence for 25 minutes. We notified the hostess at 15 minutes that no one had waited on us. After waiting another 10 minutes, we decided it was time to leave. Hope the food was good, but we never got to taste because we never got to order.
