The atmosphere was magical with all the lights. The french onion brisket naan was the best bite of the trip! Incredible!

                                                                                    The lamb nachos were delicious and the ol’ Chauhan (their Old Fashion cocktail with a whisky from India) was a little too sweet but the flavor was great. I ordered an extra shot of the whisky to add to my cocktail and that balanced it out nicely.

                                                                                    Food was outstanding. But appetizers came out after main course and main course was missing multiple items, which we needed to request a few times from different servers. Did not get a chance to ask for drink refills. Not the restaurant’s fault but it was unbelievably loud. We couldn’t have a conversation and asked for our check right away.

                                                                                    Dinner at Chauhan Ale & Masala House was a special treat for my birthday though I was nervous as my four cousins had even less experience with Indian food than myself which was negligible. I need not have worried. We all immensely enjoyed our meal. I had shrimp with Moilee Curry, my one cousin had paneer with Moilee, her husband had the chicken masala poutine, and my other cousin shared the bhunna ribeye with his wife. It was all fantastic! My cousin said it was one of the best steaks he’d ever had which is saying something as he is a steak connoisseur. My cousin and I couldn’t have enjoyed our Moilee more and her husband, who is a picky eater, wolfed down his poutine. I can’t say enough about how great a server Mickey was. She walked us through our options and in describing the food. She was great about being there anytime we wanted anything without hovering over us. She definitely represented Chauhans excellently. Finally, the decor was great, the music enjoyable and not too loud, and I really enjoyed seeing the Tournament of Champions belts for one of my favorite chefs.
