We love the tavern experience at Williamsburg and have had many wonderful experiences/dinners, however this time at Christiana Campbells’s was a little challenging. The food was good, the waitress friendly and the music excellent, but the timing was off…. The food was delayed a long time in delivery, and had cooled prior to arriving at our table. The waitress was missing much of the time, and we had to wait a while to request drinks, extra sauce and give our order for dessert. We typically take around 90 minutes for dinner, and we were there 2 1/2 hours… Even so we will be coming back because we love the taverns and maybe next time things will go a little smoother!

The food is not good. Flavorless. The oysters were very bad somehow. And it’s expensive. For the money, it wouldn’t be hard to serve decent food.

We had a wonderful meal. Our waitress had a great sense of humor. I would recommend it highly. There was even a guitar player who came in and serenaded us. It was a great experience!

To put it mildly, ours was poor. For what we paid for a Thanksgiving dinner for two, it was our first and last dinner at this location. We arrived at 5:30 and received our drinks and appetizers almost immediately. About 50 minutes later we finally received our dinner which was cold. We sent the dinner back and the replacement dinner wasn’t much better. We noticed that others were sending back their dinners too. Without a doubt, this has been one of the worst Thanksgiving dinners ever. Our server suggested complaining to the third party agent that we made our reservation through. At this point it’s time to move on and mark this place off the list of good places to have dinner. Done!

Thanksgiving dinner on our own for the first time in 46 years. The staff was wonderful and even though she was incredibly busy, Emily couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming and the food was great. Enjoy the excellent guitarist who got all the children to sing along. We had an excellent time.

My husband and I had prepaid a Thanksgiving Day meal at the Tavern. We had eaten at other Tavern's in Colonial Williamsburg and were expecting standard fare. We were very pleasantly surprised that we were treated to a wonderfully flavorful and quality dinner. From the appetizer to the desert, everything was excellent, and we would recommend this Tavern very highly. We will be back for sure to try their every-day menu.
