Filet minion was bad quality and not cooked properly. Corn pudding had horrible taste like paste. Husbands dessert was okay

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Coyote Cafe. The meal was superb and the staff was super attentive. Two thumbs up on the butternut squash soup.

The food was terrible. Cocktails were fine, service was great! The food was bland at best. Our cake was served still slightly frozen.

Coyote Cafe is a staple in our Santa Fe restaurant rotation. Every meal we’ve had there has been excellent. New Year’s Day was no exception (even though we were still full from our New Years Eve dinner lol). Started with the kampachi and then I had the sea bass and my husband had the elk tenderloin. I opted for wine by the glass instead of bottle (see NYE comment above) and the server recommended a wonderful, minerally white that perfectly complemented the fish. We’ll definitely be back!

So disappointed by the New Years Eve pre-fixe. This restaurant is amazing and one of our favorites, but this night was NOT their night. I was so confused by the menu choices? The salad was dry, the pasta was dry, and then lobster or prime rib? The lobster came on a plate without butter or sauce and a piece of corn and some scalloped potatoes. It felt very summery and like an afterthought. The prime rib was very tough and extremely hard to even cut. Our waiter was amazing as usual, but everything else was very disappointing for the price:/

Very disappointing. We have been going there for years for New Years. Food came late. Main meal was lukewarm with parts of potatoes and lobster was actually cold! Seems they tried a new process where everyone was served the same course at same time! Bad idea. Staff was friendly helpful and very professional. This was a management failure

Service was spot on - attentive but not overly so, the server was exceptionally knowledgeable and gave great suggestions on both food and wine. My wife and I shared a couple appetizers and the server arranged for them to be served in sequence (so that we could focus on one at a time) and in a manner that facilitated our sharing the dishes. Our two entrees, lobster tails and sea bass were outstanding. We were very impressed by the chef's creativity in the mixing of ingredients with complementary (sometimes surprisingly so!) flavors in both our entrees and appetizers. Our server also gave us an excellent recommendation for a wine that perfectly worked with our dishes. The entire staff worked as a well coordinated team that was clearly focused on providing us the best possible experience. I'll definitely return whenever I'm able to get back to Santa Fe.
