The Crown has been welcoming guests for over 600 years. We pride ourselves in being a traditional village inn; a warm welcome awaits. The cosy fireside bar offers the unique ambience of our historic inn, along with traditional ales, lagers and an extensive wine and drinks list.

Whether you are after a light bite, a meal with friends, or sharing a family celebration our oak-panelled restaurant or relaxed lounge provides the perfect setting. Our head chef sources local and seasonal ingredients to deliver fresh, traditional and contemporary dishes for all tastes and dietary requirements. Children are welcomed and can choose from their own seasonal menu.

In warmer months, our sheltered courtyard garden enjoys the full midday sun. The small central courtyard is also available to book by request and offers a lovely private table. Balmy afternoons and evenings will find the front terrace full of diners and drinkers, enjoying the perfect spot for sundowners and watching the world go by.

This is the second time we have visited for lunch, and one again 5 star, the service and menus were excellent. We would book more often but we live 50 minutes to the north,and the guest we meet are driving 50 minutes from the southwest. Will definitely book again ina couple of months

Excellent meal in a warm friendly pub. The belly pork was delicious. Sadly open fire not lit due to lack of firewood apparently. Staff efficient and helpfu. Thoroughly recommend.
