CUCINA enoteca is located on the west side of Fashion Island, Orange County's most sophisticated retail experience. Owner Tracy Borkum's flair for combining great ambience, award-winning cuisine and unparalleled service are once again starring components in this latest Urban Kitchen Group creation. Executive Chef Tim Kolanko and Chef de Cuisine Cesar Sarmiento bring their artistry to the table as guests enjoy an open kitchen. The menu features Italian classics with a modern twist, made with the freshest local, organic and sustainable ingredients. Along with a diverse selection of wines by the glass, guests may visit the restaurant's retail area to select from over 200 bottles for dinner (corkage fee of $10 applies) or purchase wine to go. The energetic space features contemporary elements and vintage artifacts creating the feel of a modern Italian kitchen combined with the comfort of a rustic farmhouse.

    I haven't eaten at this restaurant in a while. It was prime time lunch and not busy. I had the focaccia bread and chopped salad and my friend had the ham sandwich with parmesan fries. The focaccia bread was served cold with butter. Not appetizing at all. The salad had fresh ingredients but it was overdressed. I ordered it with grilled chicken and the chicken arrived on a separate plate and was overcooked. Why would you serve the chicken on a separate plate? My friend's fries were slightly over cooked and she said her sandwich was okay. Even my iced tea was over-brewed and bitter. Here's a hint... if the tea is cloudy, you over-brewed your tea. Iced tea should be clear. Now, the server was great! Attentive. Kept my water glass filled and checked on us frequently. Overall, I'm not impressed. I don't think I'll return. The menu needs an update for sure and some quality checking in the back. Sorry, but this was a miss for me.

    Great first experience. Squash blossoms were amazing. Noise level was a bit much and the lighting was a bit dim to read the menu but minor! Definitely recommended.

    Loved it! My parents were visiting and I knew I wanted to take them somewhere special. I made a reservation for four on open table, the restaurant was beautiful and decorated for the holidays. The ambience was perfect and the service was excellent! We tried the short rib malfaldine and the bucatini, both super delicious. For dessert we got the tiramisu, they do a twist where they add peanuts, also very delicious. Overall great night!

    We celebrated our anniversary weekend and first thing the server acknowledged our anniversary and served us complimentary champagne. The server was very attentive, friendly, and had great food recommendations. The food and wine list was amazing. The grilled octopus, branzino and chocolate budino were fantastic. Thank you!

    Fabulous family dinner!! Sharing the large kale salad worked so well as our starter. Ordered 2 different pizzas and had to add the meatballs for the win. Love this restaurant - always the best.

    Food was oka, but ordered a chopped Italian salad with chicken and had to chop my own chicken because they brought a chicken breast on a plate.
