Best American Restaurants in Ocean View

As always, the Blue Moon is one of my favorite places to have dinner. The entertainment is the best in Rehoboth.

We have been dining at One Coastal for many years, predating the arrival of James Beard Award Finalist Chef Matt Kern. We were so delighted that after One Coastal changed hands we were able to enjoy the same unrivaled, creative, fresh Delaware cuisine. Tonight our family ordered the duck and the rockfish. Both were expertly executed. The flavor profiles of both dishes were unusual, cohesive, and delightful. My husband and I both enjoyed our cocktails, a Duchess and a Ryanhatten. Best steak house in Rehoboth Beach. Rather small-ish and always busy so reservations are a must. We had escargot and black ravioli as appetizers, then the filet and prime rib as entrees. Everything was so, so good. Be careful you don't fill up first on their hot rolls with house made basil butter. I would highly recommend 1776.

The food is excellent. Every dish we had was phenomenal. The service was spotty as it took a while for the waiter to get our drink order. We never got bread that comes with every meal, drink refills were slow and never got the last one we asked for. For a fine dining experience service should be very good for $40-50 entrees. The portions are large and we left full. The cooks knocked it out of the park. We will go back and hope to eat in the main dining room next time.

I’ve been here many times. Great service but was somewhat disappointed on the Fish Stew. It’s off season so maybe my expectations were too high.
