Best American Restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale

Our recent lunch at Olive & Ivy Restaurant & Marketplace was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for what would be an unforgettable dining experience. Amanda, our server, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and a true professional. Every interaction with her was genuine, and she ensured that every detail of our meal was taken care of seamlessly. It's rare to find someone who can balance efficiency with such a kind and approachable demeanor, and Amanda did so effortlessly. We also had the pleasure of interacting with Quinn, the Manager, who was the epitome of gracious hospitality. Quinn was not only helpful but also deeply invested in ensuring we had the best experience possible. It’s clear that the team at Olive & Ivy takes pride in creating a memorable visit for their guests. And the food—wow! It was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. We sampled three incredible dishes that each brought something unique to the table. The short ribs were perfectly tender, with flavors that were rich and deeply satisfying. The chicken scallopini was cooked to perfection, boasting a balance of savory and subtle tanginess in its sauce. And the lasagna? Simply divine. Layers of homemade goodness, bursting with flavor—it’s a dish that truly stands out! Together, the outstanding service, impeccable food, and warm ambiance made this meal one to remember. First time in Scottsdale and first time at Evo. Food was AMAZING and the service was great! There was a special set price for three course and you get your moneys worth!

Second time here, once again a winner. We even ended up with the same server, Torrey, and she also was once again fantastic! We were there for the Valentine's Day pre-fixe menu and enjoyed it immensely. We had the chopped salad, clam chowder, meatloaf (amazing!!) and bananas foster bread pudding. Walked out pleasantly full, not grossly overstuffed, with some leftover meatloaf for a weekend lunch -and it is excellent as leftovers. We will keep coming back!

First time to try out this spot and I'm glad I did. The prime rib sandwich and truffle fries were delicious. Service was excellent and the restaurant had a cool vibe going. Good crowd for lunch but easy to have a conversation with my lunch partner.

The Ends is an incredible restaurant. I love that they don’t use any seed oils and instead focus on cooking with tallow. The food is amazing, and I think their pasta is better than any Italian restaurant here in the Valley. I know everyone says this, but the Cacio e Pepe is definitely something to write home about. It’s really, really good. Almost equivalent to the one I had at Osteria Da Fortunata in Rome. The thick noodles and sauce are very similar. Absolutely delicious. We also had the mushroom pasta, meatballs, Hamachi crudo, and beet burrata. All excellent. The only downside was that they were out of multiple dishes, which was a bit disappointing. However, they made it up to us by giving us a $45 gift card, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
