Best American Restaurants in Plainview

I brought my niece here. First time for both of us. Superb! I had the Smoked Old Fashioned cocktail, with the smoke adding a nice layer of flavor to the drink. The layering of flavors was the theme at Rustic Root. We shared the crispy Brussel Sprouts and Crispy Artichokes. Again, excellent layering of flavors with just the right amount of spice to both. For our main dishes I had the Scallops with Snap Pea Risotto and my nice ordered the Roasted Local Cauliflower with Farro. Again superb on both, especially my niece's dish. Many vegetarian meals in restaurants have no real depth to the flavors in the dish but here it did. My only suggestion would be to possibly offer two vegetarian dishes on the menu rather than just one. An excellent evening from beginning to end. Will be adding Rustic Root to my list of favorites and will definitely be back.

The ambiance was relaxing for the season. Truly magical either carolers singing through out the dink g area.

We had the best experience, and felt comfortable even bringing our younger children to celebrate my husbands birthday. Our servers Kyle and Pete were friendly kind and so nice,.

Wonderful from start to finish. Our server was knowledgeable of how each dish was prepared and assisted with choices that fit my diet. Mussels were delicious. If I was home I would have drunken the broth. Steak cooked and sliced to perfection!

We sat by the window for a beautiful winter view. Our server, Miguel, was very polite, personable and attentive. He also took a bunch of photos for us at the end- very helpful. Food was delicious and my meal (salmon entree) felt well-balanced. Castle owner, Gary, visited our table and that of the other guests, which was cool to be able to converse and learn a little more about the castle. All the workers seemed to know him, so that seemed like a positive, too. They also gave my daughter a coloring book, crayons, and a yummy package of mini cookies to take home. Only negative was that the fire alarm went off during meal, which startled us. Then we were informed that happens sometimes because the castle's fire monitoring system is sensitive. It turned off after about 15 seconds. Overall, we had a really nice time and plan to go back.
