Best American Restaurants in West Linn

This was our first experience at the Chart House Portland. Doing it for Christmas Day dinner added a special level of expectation to the meal. Chart House exceeded those expectations on every level. The ambiance was wonderful. The service was great. The food and drink were outstanding. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. We love brunch there and always look forward to dinner dates as well. Everything is always well executed and they set the bar high. We sincerely miss Little Bird and this gives us the fix we miss.

After hearing glowing reviews from coworkers, I had to check it out for myself – and I’m so glad I did! I highly recommend making a reservation. We visited on a Friday night and were lucky to have one, as the place was packed! We started with the bread service, which was warm and delicious, and the crab cakes. Just a heads-up—if you're dining with more than two people, definitely order extra crab cakes! They were so tasty, but we each only got one. For our entrees, we chose the prime rib special and the scallops. The scallops were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the broccoli had a crisp, flavorful touch without being overpowering. The prime rib was massive, cooked to perfection, and practically melted in your mouth—it was so tender you could almost cut it with a butter knife. To top it all off, the key lime pie was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Given the quality of the food, the pricing is very reasonable, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The aesthetic is elegant but has personable touches to the brand. A truly fantastic dining experience!
