- EEstherVIPToronto / Ontario •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThis is our 3rd time at R&D as we absolutely love the experience and the food. We always sit at the Chef’s Rail and enjoy watching the chefs at work. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We will always come back.More infoR&D Restaurant - TorontoPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Asian• Chinatown / Kensington Market•4.7
- JJamesToronto / Ontario •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoReserved a table of 10 for myself and family. Restaurant called an hour beforehand to both confirm the reservation and offer one of two designated and segregated large party rooms (the "glass" room), which I accepted. We were promptly seated, ordering was done via two iPads for the table with the mostly standard Sushi restaurant app that most seem to have now. Service was through one main server seeing to the table's general needs, servers bringing ordered items, and robotic servers (basically Roombas with a shelf on top). Service was very quick albeit a little bit uncommunicative. Food arrived quickly after ordering, everything was above average for taste, freshness, and variety. Offerings included sashimi, sushi, maki rolls, hand rolls, teriyaki, tempura, sushi pizzas, grilled and fresh appetizers, and dedicated vegetarian options. Dessert was offered through the self serve ice cream and dessert bar with assorted mousse, pudding, jello, and ice cream offerings. Value was moderate but consistent with most AYCE (all you can eat) sushi restaurants raising their prices post pandemic. Expect to pay at least $40/person without drinks, children under (and not including 12) will pay $29/person. Overall excellent experience, would patronize again, already do regularly for their lunch special which IS good value.More infoMakimono - AjaxPrice: Moderate• Sushi• Ajax•4.8
- MMarkToronto / Ontario •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoI had lived in Toronto for many years before moving away from the city. Had to come in a few days for work and decided to visit DaiLo with a friend. Why did I rob myself of this experience for so long? The food was 5-star! We ordered the wontons, pork hock, tacos, and the smoked duck. Every dish hit its mark perfectly with well-balanced flavors. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice and it isn't a place that packs restaurant goers elbow to elbow. Lastly, the service provided by the staff rivals the quality of the food.More infoDaiLoPrice: Very Expensive• Asian• Little Italy / College St.•4.8
- AAlishaToronto / Ontario •5 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoI’ve been to Ultra several times and the food, service and drinks are phenomenal. Most recently, I was there for supper with a group to celebrate a friend’s birthday and for the most part it was wonderful. Unfortunately, we seemed to be surrounded by several tables of ‘influencers’ who were constantly wondering in and out of the Gold room, taking constant photos and worried about their hair, makeup and wardrobe. It was extremely interruptive to us an other tables (considering the money we were paying for supper and drinks).More infoUltraPrice: Very Expensive• Pan-Asian• Yonge and St. Clair•4.7
