Island Prime provided an absolutely exceptional dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the breathtaking views of the San Diego skyline set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The ambiance was both elegant and welcoming, perfect for a special dinner. The food was outstanding. Every dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection—tender and flavorful—and the lobster tail was buttery and delicious. The sides were equally impressive, with the truffle mac and cheese being a standout. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, ensuring our glasses were always full and every need met without being intrusive. The attention to detail and personalized touches truly elevated the experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want an incredible meal with a view, Island Prime is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return! Five stars, without a doubt!

We truly enjoyed ourselves here! Great place for sushi

We had reservations for an outside table; it ended up being a rainy evening and they were able to offer us a table indoors. For drinks, we enjoyed the Tempranillo and the Oaxaca Rosito, which is a Negroni with Mezcal instead of gin; it was luscious and smoky. As appetizers, we enjoyed the chips with a smoky orange and hot green salsas and the Tetala Mole Flight. The latter is a large triangular patty filled with potatoes and cheese, artfully topped with their three moles. It was so fun to taste all of their delicious moles. Our entrees were the Burris Ramen, with braised short ribs and noodles in a delicious broth; and a carnitas taco and a mushroom & cauliflower taco. Both were wonderful, and I appreciated that the tacos were ala carte. We shared the Chocoflan for dessert; this is flan atop a thin chocolate cake layer, topped with raspberry mousse and freeze dried strawberries, with passion fruit caramel on the plate. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. This was a refreshing change from typical Sonoran and Tex-Mex restaurants.

Everything was Amazing. Thanks to the wonderful host, manager, and server, my party of two humans and one dog was seated in a nice and quiet corner on the patio.

Me and a friend stopped in and sat at the bar. We were greeted right away. All the bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. Food was amazing and didn’t take too long. Ambiance was perfect too, not too dark or bright. Shout out to Jad the supervisor for checking in on us and making sure our experience was a positive one. Will definitely be back!
