Outstanding restaurant with items rarely found in dining establishments here such as venison loin, lamb neck and smoked ducked all cooked to perfection. The Meatery Board has a plethora of goodies to whet the appetite. The service was friendly and helpful and exceptionally friendly.

Went for our five-year anniversary and sat on the balcony overlooking the river. The staff was lovely and I had the best crawfish pasta I’ve ever experienced.

Visited Evangeline again on this trip to NOLA. Food was excellent, Tracie (sp?) gave attentive table service, and atmosphere of bare brick walls and age of building lend authentic New Orleans vibe to the meal. Fried green tomatoes lightly breaded made for a delicious start. Janice chose the Nola Shrimp House Salad topped with a grilled red fish fillet. I got the Alligator Creole; best creole sauce I’ve ever had. All fresh ingredients (tomatoes, sweet peppers, onions, garlic, & celery) well seasoned and prepared. Topped it off with ice cream and bread pudding. Delicious!
