Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Manitou Springs

Four of us dined together, two for the first time. The first good thing occurred before we ever got inside. They moved the entrance to the side patio with a portable entryway to avoid bursts of cold air into the dining area - smart! Once inside we all had the leak soup, which was fabulous!! Two of us also shared the steak tartar, which we thoroughly enjoyed. For entrees, one went with a “shareable” ricotta gnocchi, which she actually thought didn’t seem that cohesive as a dish (kind of an odd combination of flavors). The true entrees ordered were the scallops, short ribs and lamb, all of which we considered pretty amazing, which is why I still went with a five star rating. Plus the atmosphere is intimate, and the outside space beckons for a future dining op during warmer weather. All-in-all, we love having Wolf Peach Public House as a local dining option. One thing though, one has to be prepared to pay for quality, as the pricing reflects the efforts of the talented chefs.

The food and service were terrific. I had never been to this family owned restaurant in old Colorado city, but what a treasure! Lasagna is top-notch.

Part of the Broadmoor, you can count on rather pricey food so that is a given. But the food was REALLY good. We ate lunch here on a cold day in November. I recommend the BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp small plate which I had as my entree, my husbands Vidalia onion rings were outstanding and there was more than enough for the 3 of us. My son loved his boar nachos. Great service, lovely location.
