Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Ephrata

CAM was great. His service and attention was awesome

We had a wonderful dinner with family members from out of town. My husband and l had been here a few times, including the original restaurant near F&M. ALWAYS wonderful fresh fish and seafood. Our server was great and very attentive. Great cocktails, wine and appetizers to start. We all had different types of fish- all beautifully prepared. The branzino fileted table side was amazing to watch. We had the best time and will return again!

Overall stellar experience. We came here for my mother's retirement party, and I want to give a special shoutout to Emily for taking our details and customizing our menus with her name, but also our knowledgeable server/bartender Kyle for answering our questions and being very attentive, etc. Our party of four had the sea bass, antelope and acorn squash soup for appetizers, and the duck, cod, scallops and waygu. For dessert, the mont blanc (mouse/chocolate/apple (?) crust) dessert, and a dessert that was a cookie, a lining of marshmallow and something else. Cannot remember the name. But standing out was the lineup of drinks, and I say this as someone who generally is a purist (no mixed drinks) with alcohol. I did have some scotch, but also had a Cary Grant (the one with Bulleit Rye), Frank Sinatras and the sweeter Marilyn Monroe. All extremely well done. Kris Kringles (vodka, rum and some pistachio liqueur combo?) were also good. My brother and I are from out of town, but if we can find a way back here and another reason to celebrate another milestone, we will absolutely find our way back here. Only recommendation I have is maybe to carry one of the local spirits, but really no bother otherwise. Shoutout again to Emily and Kyle for making our experience one to remember.

Our table, along with many others were celebrating a birthday and it seems 401 Prime is a go to destination for such occasions. That said, when a restaurant does so many celebrations it can seem "run of the mill" or a "rinse and repeat" process. Not the case. From the pre-dinner cocktail (well thought out spirits selection and specialty cocktails) to the hostess, wait staff, menu and execution. An individual and lovely experience. Well done to all. Restaurant was very nice. Waiter was a sweetheart! Food was yummy ! Huge portions too! Price matches going rates.
