- DDanielvipToronto / Ontario •9 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had an excellent experience doing a 3-course dinner here. The students were very enthusiastic to learn and everything was well prepared. The mussels were excellent, with flavourful broth. The fattoush salad was refreshing and well seasoned. The duck was superb and the panna cotta was heavenly and sharp! If I had any feedback it would be that the bread was slightly overdone, the old fashioned could have been smokier, and the Black Forest cake could have been slightly more moist. But those are easy corrections. I will definitely be back to support this great place for student learning.More infoThe Chefs' House - George Brown CollegePrice: Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• King East•4.5
- OTOpenTable DinerToronto / Ontario •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe went to Alobar for dinner right after our wedding. Everyone loved the food and remarked that the striploin steak and lobster were the best they’ve ever had. I thought the broccolini was the real scene stealer. The ambience was lovely, perfect for the occasion, and the noise level was moderate. The folks waiting us were friendly and overall we had a lovely night.More infoAlobar YorkvillePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Yorkville•4.7
- SSuzanneToronto / Ontario •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoGreat service and very creative menu. Highly recommend the 5 course tasting menu. We were a party of 3 & each course was unique - that’s 15 different dishes! Amazing variety and each plate was special and worth the price. Definitely will go back for our next special occasion.More infoGeorge RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Financial District•4.8
- RRichardToronto / Ontario •6 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThe service and food quality is absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been trying to get reservations for years and finally we were successful on the evening of our 35th Anniversary. From the Hostess to the servers Adam, Godwin and the AGM Johann, everyone were super attentive and provided great input about the menu options chosen. The Steak Tarta & French onion Soup, both developed tastefully with the perfect combination of herbs & spices and creatively presented. The Brome Lake Duck and poached pear a perfect combination of sweet and acid complementing the tender meat of the pine- glazed Duck. The Lamb Rack, tender and tastefully matched with the white port jus and charred broccoli, made for a mouth watering pallet. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and ended it with a rich cappuccino and Black Forest gâteau which we romantically shared and now look forward to our next visit, hopefully soon.More infoCanoe Restaurant and BarPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Financial District•4.5
- MMichaelvipToronto / Ontario •3 reviews5.0Dined on 13 Nov 2024We went on a Wednesday night so it was quiet overall. Despite that our party had a fabulous time chatting with Andras the bartender. We had 6 cocktails and 5 different ones. Each cocktail had a fresh zing to it. Our favourite was the Sandia Soltice which we ended up ordering twice because it was that good and boozy. It was happy hour sp we got to partake in delightful h'orderves from George and other snacks that we ordered. Fun time and great venue.More infoSecrettePrice: Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• Financial District•4.8
