Best Contemporary European Restaurants in Wadhurst

My favourite restaurant just wish they had a specials board

We had a very pleasant evening, food was good, service was fine.

Amazing food. I had the Veloute of Jerusalem artichoke with a poach hen's egg and I was in heaven, mellow artichoke taste, not too over powering and the mix with the egg was perfect. The main coarse was the fillet steak and is the best fillet steak I have ever eaten. I guess the only gripe is that on some of the main coarses you will have to order extra sides so the cost increases. I had French beans with my steak and they were lovely but the potatoes were dry and some of the food was not piping hot, it came out to us warm but I would still highly recommend it to everyone. Oh yes, the service from everyone was absolutely first class and there is only a 7.5% service charge whereas other places I have been to charge 12 or 12.5%.

Great Saturday morning family brunch at Water Lane. Nick and Ian do a brilliant job as hosts and the staff are so friendly and helpful with a large group and young children. Such delicious choices and the banana loaf with maple butter amazing. Great location and the glass houses just make it the most interesting place for brunch, lunch or dinner.

Great place for a business lunch. The steak and chips was perfect, coffee, perfect, all round perfect. I'll be back.
