Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Northeast Dallas

Today at Il Bracco was fabulous! Four friends enjoying a shared lunch. We had 2 appetizers (now my 2 most favorite) facaccia with whipped ricotta and the meatballs are both stand outs! Ancient Grain salad and the chopped salad are at the top of the salads list. And we had the mushroom pasta which is excellent. We came around 2:30 for a late lunch , very relaxed. Noise level was much better than when you go on a crowded weekend night. But always go. One of my friends thinks it’s better than Lucia’s, that speaks accolades to me. Great place to dine , great location!

Music too loud, and prices a bit high, but otherwise near perfect.

I don't think of here often. The location was perfect. We had a party of 7 that was from 5 to 85-yo. I requested to be tucked away somewhere quiet. This was perfect! Everyone raved about their meals. My mother went on about how nostalgic it was to be there. Newly revealed lore is that I have been going there since before I was born. It is a rare old gem for Dallas that generally shuns what's old.

The Charles has the BEST Customer Service, hands down! EVERYONE was super polite, attentive, engaging and personable. Our server, Chelsey, gave the best feedback, learned our names, and even took beautiful pics for us. She's awesome & if she's a trainer for The Charles, then I know more wonderful servers will be produced. The ambiance was gorgeous, nice music, just the right amount of light, and the food was very flavorful. The "off the menu" items were delicious, especially the specialty pasta one of the young ladies made. Definitely a place to try!
