Best European Restaurants in Kensington

If you have not tried the Broken Plate you must go! The food is DELICIOUS 😁 We started with Greek fries, the Greek cheese that they light on fire and octopus Everything was hot, fresh, flavourful and mouth watering delicious😁 Our main course, moussaka and Greek salad. Broken Plate’s moussaka is simply the absolute best! They spend days preparing this dish! It is outstanding! The meat and spices with the eggplant, zucchini and béchamel sauce all together it tastes so good I want to cry tears of joy! This restaurant has the best Greek food in Calgary! The ambience is a lot of fun! It was very busy ( as it usually is ) and the music was a little loud but it was Saturday night. My one disappointment was to find out that they no longer offer their beet salad. It was the very very best beet salad I have ever tasted in my life. Please consider bringing it back to the menu. We loved chatting with our friendly server Percy🥰 he was fun and attentive. Thank-you Broken Plate for another 10 out of 10 dining experience. See you again soon, Annie and Vik

Cassis Bistro is hands down my favorite restaurant in Calgary! The family-like cozy atmosphere is unmatched, with everyone speaking French and many from France, making it feel utterly authentic. Martin’s attentive care and Gilles’ warm, welcoming smile always make me feel right at home! Combine that with incredible food every time, and it’s truly a little slice of France in the city!

We came here for our anniversary and it was nothing less than amazing. To our surprise, it was rather empty when we arrived, however it worked in our favour for a quiet dinner. We came right at the end of happy hour and ordered their sangria and margarita - which we both amazing. We also got the beef tartare, duck wings, and oysters and everything was amazing; we couldn’t believe this was all on happy hour. For mains we ordered the agnolotti and the duck breast and were not disappointed. Desserts we ordered the carrot cake and key lime pie which were also amazing. Food quality was unreal and we will 100% be back.

Charlotte our server was the best! Great wine, delicious food. The mushroom croquettes and the chicken schnitzel were superb!

We really enjoyed our time at Pigeonhole Downtown. The staff were all so helpful and seemed happy to be there tbh. The food was all done nicely, while it’s not reinventing the eating experience, everything was very tasty. We were there for happy hour, which was an absolute deal! Will be back for sure and to try the mains.
