Best Farm To Table Restaurants in Old Fourth Ward

Sat at the bar. Celebrating a friend's birthday. Sunday 11 am brunch. Split a cheeseburger and the pasta carbonara. Had a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Everything was fantastic as usual.

Great food, great service. The chicken and black spaghetti was delicious. Desserts were delish as well. Will defiantly be back.

The parking is a little tricky. You can’t park in the resident lot that has a lot of spaces. And in the basement Retail area there aren’t that many spaces, but I parked around the block and walked. It was fine. Just be prepared to have a little bit extra time to find parking, I ordered the basil pesto chicken sandwich, and it was delicious. Service is great and I liked the atmosphere. 

I ate 1 dinner and 2 breakfasts here while staying at the W. The bartender/manager (dinner) and the breakfast servers were all very personable. I appreciate the night I stopped in for dinner that the server confirmed I wasn't over-ordering and I thoroughly enjoyed the chef's interpretation of butternut squash ravioli with a fantastic focus on nutmeg. It was really tasty. I also enjoyed the innovative cocktail at the start of the meal. I ate 2 additional breakfasts and thought the service was great and with a nice selection of options for breakfast. All breakfasts were well-prepared and service was quick and efficient with the server circulating to make sure my coffee was topped off through the meal.

Metro fresh is a great soup and salad style restaurant. And they also have traditional, breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items. Very casual, welcoming, and relaxing. Great place to connect with an old friends, or have a casual date with somebody special. It is reasonably priced, and the food is absolutely delicious. You can tell the chef uses only fresh and natural ingredients, tons of taste while still healthy at the same time. I recommend the bone broth in the morning. And for a special treat at night, I recommend getting the Smashburger, which is onions & cheese, no bun, a cup of chili poured over top. A knife and fork style burger, to die for.
