Best Gastro Pubs in Penryn

Great food, slightly high prices considering we had to buy sides for a main meal to actually make it a dish. We did however, find it very cold in the pub, especially having to have the door open to help ventilate whilst the fireplace was on.

Outstanding, from the attention to detail from the members of the staff to the succulent most delicious food. They really know how to create a lovely atmosphere and deliver food with upmost care and truly packed with flavours, well worth every single penny. Favourite venue

Fabulous food - the fish pie is really gorgeous and is very popular. The staff are all fantastic - welcoming, warm and very helpful. Atmosphere of the building is cosy and the beams are fantastic although ducking may be required in places! A walk down the pontoon to look at the river and watch the wildlife is a must, even in chilly weather. Car park spaces are limited but everyone seems to manage fine!

We really enjoyed a festive meal at WAX today. I love Watergate Bay and parking was free as it was out of season...bonus...nice beach walk with dog...bonus...then on to WAX where staff were friendly, food was scrumptious and atmosphere warm and welcoming x thank you, we are looking forward to our next visit xXx
