Relaxed Sunday lunch. Sat in the bar area where it was warm and cosy near one of the two fires. Only issue is the two TV’s they have running in the bar area, which can be a distraction. A handful of other customers were watching the football and the sound was off, so it was not a real issue.

We love the Parakeet. It never disappoints. We’ve been a handful of times and have also gone to two quiz nights which were loads of fun. The staff on the floor are incredible and everyone has so much heart and passion for what they do. Overall, I would highly recommend with one caveat. For this particular visit I had some trouble with the very unpleasant woman in charge of group bookings. I reached out months in advance as we were a large party. She was very unresponsive and dismissive so I would recommend for a larger group. Not worth the stress and aggravation.

Don’t often get veal kidneys on an English menu so my husband was in seventh heaven. Perfectly cooked .

Always top drawer, the perfect place to eat, drink and have a great time. Christmas Eve was buzzing, thanks to all the staff at The Sword Inn Hand for making Christmas Eve such a great start to our festivities 🎅x

Tasty food, good prices, nice atmosphere. We went for a Sunday roast with my family and sat at the upper floor which was more quiet. The service was great and the food and wine was very nice.
