Our passion is to serve delicious homemade food using the finest ingredients, including rare breed meats and locally sourced produce. On the menu you can expect seasonally changing hearty food along with weekly specials plus the added bonus of a great wine list and friendly staff. We have an a la carte menu in our restaurant area and a bar menu if you fancy something lighter. On a Sunday we offer the A La Carte menu along with a our delicious Sunday roast menu. The Hemingway is a good quality pub that serves delicious no-nonsense grub.You can see every dish being made to order in our open plan kitchen- no soggy microwaved frozen meals here! We take great care in sourcing our produce direct from the best suppliers both locally and abroad. Our menu is a mix of classic crowd pleasers and regularly changing seasonal dishes, which means you'll always find something to tempt your taste buds (even if you're in every day!).We are a pub, not a cocktail bar and while we make a blinding Bloody Mary, and will happily mix you an Aperol Spritz or Negroni, we don't do Pina Coladas. That said, we are extremely proud of our wide range of spirits from around the globe, which (where possible) we offer at affordable prices. The wine list has been chosen to provide a simple but high quality selection that goes as well with our food as it does with some good company.

The Rabbits is a family friendly gastro pub & restaurant in the heart of the essex countryside. We pride ourselves on good friendly service and good quality homecooked food with our seasonal menus, we serve real ales, fine wines & premium spirits. We have a great beer garden where you can take in the picturesque views whilst not having to go too far to order any food or drink as this can all be done at our garden bar which is also playing background music around our garden, this is open Thurs-Sunday throughout the spring/summer weather permitting. There is a childrens play area and we also welcome dogs in our garden and inside the bar area. The Rabbits Team look forward to seeing you soon.

    Wonderful Sunday lunch my daughter and I like to go for Sunday lunch twice a month and have been looking around for good Sunday lunch restaurants and I saw a recommendation for this little pub about a 30 min drive away and we went this Sunday and it was truly amazing we had an excellent choice of starters bbq pork belly bites, amazing and a yummy butternut squash soup both of which were lovely and really filling, only downside was then we couldn’t eat all of our sharing board as we were too full. The Sharing board was amazing, we have eaten a large variety of Sunday lunches over the last 6 months finding new places for each visit in both central London and Havering and the surrounding areas including well known restaurants such as Blacklock and Hawksmore and I have to say this is by far the best Sharing Board I have ever eaten all the trimmings and a really unctuous gravy, truly lovely traditional Sunday lunch with a real family vibe to the Pub. Well worth a visit

    Was recommended & obviously for a reason. Couldn’t speak more highly of the waiting staff who were incredible with our slightly chaotic large party. Felt very welcome, food was great & obviously very well organised as service was super speedy. Will be recommending & returning. Thanks to the wonderful staff for a fantastic experience!

    Had an outstanding experience last night for my son’s 18th; outstanding food and personal service, it’s a shame we aren’t often in Shoreditch because this place is a gem Scallops were a must, also the duck and the scotch eggs. Pork and steak were perfect too. We had a lot of the menu and nothing let us down.
