We took our 5 year old (picky-eater) and there weren’t very many kid-friendly options on the menu but we tricked him into eating the fried cod (for chicken nuggets) with fries and he did just fine. It was a cold and rainy day and the restaurant was a little on the colder side.

Seven of us visited The Barley Mow for my husband’s 40th birthday and we couldn’t have wished for a better experience. The service was fantastic, food was beyond delicious, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was just perfect. We will definitely be back and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Barley Mow to anyone. We had a dinner booked for 7.30pm they were running late with service but I have to say we hardly noticed the pub had an amazing atmosphere the staff are very attentive and apologetic, they took a drinks round off the bill for the long wait. The food was amazing I had the monk fish tail and my husband had the pork loin absolutely delicious. You must try the beef fat popcorn omg it’s very tasty they should sell bags of this loved it. We will definitely e back can’t wait to sample the Sunday dinner.
