- HHenrikCalgary / Southern Alberta •12 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoIt is always lovely to visit Highwood; the culinary students are doing a great job. The menu are well presented by the server, who is always kind and polite. The food presentation was spot-on and beautiful. I had the salad Nicoise / Spinach dip and a Mushroom pizza, and all tasted good. The only comment I would have today is the Mushroom pizza was a bit on the dry side, and my "personal" choice is always to give the mushroom a quick saute before adding to the pizza, but it was ok. Not the last visit :-)More infoThe HighwoodPrice: Expensive• Global, International• Calgary•4.7
- CCarmenvipCalgary / Southern Alberta •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoPizza Letty has a fantastic GF crust, that actually has a crust (as opposed to a flatbread-style crust). And it’s soft, and not crumbly or dry. Our server was very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the dishes. Pizza Letty was very accommodating of GF, DF, and nut-free dietary requirements.More infoPizza LettyPrice: Expensive• Pizza Bar• Calgary•4.7
- TTonyVancouver / British Columbia •4 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoWe attended a wine paired dinner with Terrasole. The drinks and wine were really done well. The meat was cooked really well too. However, when you make Carpaccio and dump a ton of salad and a pound of grated cheese on top of it, you loose the taste of the Carpaccio. I had to dig out the meat and waste great cheese and half a salad patch. FAIL The Gnocchi were not Gnocchi. FAIL The Gorgonzola Polenta was the most ridiculous Polenta I have ever had. My companion thought it was mashed potatoes. Polenta is a corn based staple famous in Northern Italy and made into a dense bread. In middle Italy it can be more creamy. The Polenta served was a disaster. I will return, but I won't be ordering any Italian food that has been destroyed.More infoAlloyPrice: Very Expensive• Global, International• Calgary•4.7
