- MMeganvipWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe were delighted with our dining experience at Khazana. We are avoiding carbs so ordered dishes that focused on meat and vegetables: Peanut slaw (delicious, crunchy and fresh!), chickpea fritters (4 per order - delicious with great chutney sauce); Eggplant bharga? Not sure the name but the preparation and sauce were incredible and not bitter or too smokey) and the fish tikka masala - absolutely fabulous. . Only gave 3 stars for service because no one waited on us for about 10 minutes after arriving. But once they attended us the service was excellent. Appreciate that we could sample the wines available by the glass to decide. Hope they will consider adding Belgian style triples and golden ales (Like Pranqster) to their extensive beer menu which go great with Indian food. Sadly the beer menu was focused on hoppy, bitter IPAs and lagers. The cocktail flavors were exotic and fun (loved the Saffron Negroni). Will definitely come back to try more of the menu.More infoKhazana by Chef Sanjeev KapoorPrice: Expensive• Indian• Palo Alto•3.8

- JjohnvipSan Francisco Bay Area •87 reviews4.0Dined on 17 Nov 2024Wonderfully inventive food - not your traditional Indian restaurant. The the papadam were especially impressive. Slightly haphazard service - made worse by the incredibly high noise level - everybody was shouting to be able to hear one another, which just made it worse. We chose to eat a mix of starter plates, which gave us a rich variety of tastes. But they all arrived at about the same time, so there wasn't space on the table for them., and the experience felt very rushed. Even though we hadn't ordered any mains ("big plates"), the items we ordered that would normally accompany them (naan, raita) were treated as the second course - we had to ask for them to be brought with the rest of the food. We visited in mid November. It was really cold, even though we were sitting indoors - and many fellow diners also kept their coats on, so it wasn't just us..More infoROOH Palo AltoPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Indian• Palo Alto•4.2
