- JJeanvipSan Francisco Bay Area •682 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoA good waiter is essential to truly experience Pippal. This is NOT your neighborhood 'curry joynt' and if you restrict yourself to "old reliables", you will be missing out on dishes absolutely unique in the EBay! Indian cuisines/fusion are some of the finest in the world and Pippal is your chance to expand your culinary tastebuds beyond the 'same old, same old'. The Prawn Pepper Curry, Masala Mini Idli, Masala [French] Fries, Achari Paneer Tikka, Meat Dhansak Pulao and Chicken Dak Bungalow are some of the remarkable dishes we've had in our 4 visits. Order the beef rib-eye medium-rare; the baked bread underneath (the steak is whole, not sliced; atop the bread) is crusty but delicious together (ask for extra steak knives!). Note that current desserts are best shared by 2-4 people. Also, the new menu (on the back page) lists 3 levels of prix fixe dinners: the prices listed are PER PERSON, to be ordered by a group. Again, be guided by the waitstaff; if you love spicy food be sure to tell them!More infoPippalPrice: Moderate• Indian• Emeryville•4.5
