'Too much is so good, you can't stop eating it. The tandoor-baked breads are not mere swabs for sauce but could be eaten, and enjoyed, on their own; the naan with cilantro and rock salt is terrific, as is the kulcha richly stuffed with minced lamb. Masala Art offers combinations you don't see often around here, but even its more familiar dishes can be revelations. Consider its samosas. They're flakier than a lot of the competition, and their filling of peas, potatoes and sweet raisins tastes fresher, too. A burst of cardamom in every bite helps. In the same vein, soft logs of minced lamb pulse with heat from jalapeno peppers, a shock offset with breezy mint. Pureed spinach is a vibrant green, flecked with corn and rich with garlic...' - WashingtonPost.com

It was good Indian food. Not the best, but good. Service was good, but they brought one of the wrong dishes( chicken not veggie)and when brought up they apologized and made the right one for us. They didn’t comp the dish they got wrong, which would have been nice, but certainly unnecessary. Attire is a little on the fancier side for Indian, mostly collared shirts and jackets for men. Recommend you order extra rice. Samosa was quite good.

We had a Great dinner there for my birthday. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry, Indian Salad, Bhaingan Bharta, Aloo Gobi, Garlic Naan. It was WAY too much food for 2 of us but I wanted to try a bunch of my favorites. Everything came out hot (except the salad of course!) and tasted wonderful. We got “medium” spicy level and I felt we could have easily gone to “hot”. The staff was wonderful and also gave me a sweet birthday treat at the end. If we end up back in Alexandria we’d definitely go back.
