When they realized we spoke English, there was an immediate language shift. Our server Michaela (spelling?) was attentive and engaging. We started with a shared pizza and drinks and she allowed time “to rest” before bringing our pasta dishes. The carbonara was perfect with a hint of saltiness and as I was saying I could taste the carrot in the bolognese (like my nonna made it!) my husband found a piece of carrot.
