Enzo Rosano grew up in a town just outside of Naples, Italy. His fondest memories of his childhood are centered around his mother’s cooking and the spirited meals he shared with his eight siblings. Mama Carmela’s amazing cooking kept her children close to home throughout their childhood and young adulthood. Her culinary influence also played a role in Enzo’s decision to enroll in the Scuola Alberghieria Culinary and Hospitality program in Naples. Upon completion of his culinary training, Enzo landed a job as bartender at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Vong’s in London. Next was a stop as bar manager at The Berkeley Knightsbridge, a luxury property also in London. When he came to the Bay Area, his first stop was in Half Moon Bay where he helped open one of the town’s most popular restaurants, Mezza Luna, with family friend, Roberto Giovanni. At Caffe Riace,Enzo joined his brothers and worked alongside them as they made plans to open AquaPazza in San Mateo in 2008

Clean and spacious restaurant, tasty and good selection of meals. GREAT pizza. Servers were very nice and took care of us. This was a birthday event with 6 adults and 4 kids. Kids meals were a good portion and prepared like an adult meal. Overall, we will be back many times.

Locanda Positano is one of our fav Italian restaurants. Lovely converted home, so note not really disabled-friendly as front and back stairs are brick. The outdoor patio, however, is level-in so works great in warmer weather. Note parking is VERY tight now at peak times due to Horn BBQ recently replacing Bonehead BBQ. Service not quite as polished as before but still very good and cheerful. Salads are excellent, starters are outstanding. Current iteration of burrata&prosciutto is stunning, everybody gave it a thumbs-up. Pasta dishes (we order these 2 almost 95% of our visits) were a little off, however. Strozzapretti was a bit glue-y, no loose sauce as it usually is (the sauce should be totally absorbed by the time the diner finishes eating, btw). We were also surprised the marinara for the clam linguine lacked the depth it usually has - tho lots of clams and perfect al dente pasta helped. But this was minor stuff; seasoning was on point on all dishes and our guest absolutely loved discovering Locanda (she recently relocated from LA).
